The 78 Battalion CRPF organises a voluntary blood donation camp at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima to mark National Voluntary Blood Donation Day.

DIMAPUR — To mark National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, the 78 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sechü-Zubza, organised a voluntary blood donation camp at the Blood Centre, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), on Thursday.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, NHAK.
According to an update, the initiative formed part of the battalion's community service, humanitarian assistance, and public health outreach, in line with the CRPF motto, "Service and loyalty". A total of 11 CRPF personnel voluntarily donated blood during the camp.
During the inaugural session, Deven Bhonsle, Commandant of 78 Bn CRPF, highlighted the humanitarian importance of voluntary blood donation and urged personnel to contribute towards saving lives through such initiatives.

Dr. Avila Sangtam of NHAK pointed out the importance of maintaining an adequate and stable supply of blood and expressed appreciation to the battalion for extending support towards meeting the blood requirements of the district.
The programme also included a pledge-taking ceremony, reinforcing the commitment of participants towards voluntary blood donation and community welfare.
