Government Industrial Training Institute Mon held the 4th Skill Convocation Ceremony, awarding 64 certified trainees under NCVET and SCVT trades.

DIMAPUR — The launching of the National Scheme for Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Upgradation and the setting up of the National Centre of Excellence for Skilling, along with the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh—the 4th Skill Convocation Ceremony—was held at the Government ITI, Mon, Exam Hall on October 4.
According to an update, during the ceremony, the conferment of ITI certificates was handed over by N Nyaksham Phom, principal, ITI Mon.
A total of 64 skill-certified candidates under NCVET and SCVT trades received their certificates. Five passed candidates with the highest aggregate marks trade-wise were awarded Certificates of Merit along with petty cash to mark the occasion.

Phangnon Konyak to attend 80th UNGA session in New York
Bomotakum, a woodwork technician, motivated the trainees and encouraged them to utilise their skills for the nation’s growth.
On behalf of the 2025–2026 trainees, C Manwin Konyak, from Mechanic Motor Vehicle trade, congratulated the seniors and urged them to live up to their commitment while applying the skills and values learned.
Manjoi Phom, electrician, delivered a short speech on behalf of the outgoing batch, while Nokyok Konyak, vocational instructor (electrician), conducted the closing ceremony.
