Kohima Police arrested three suspected NNC/FGN (NA) members and seized illegal arms, ammunition and cash.

KOHIMA — Kohima Police apprehended three suspected members of the NNC/FGN (NA) faction and seized three country-made pistols, ammunition, cash and a vehicle during an operation in the New Secretariat area on Thursday.
According to a press release issued by the police, the operation was launched after information was received at around 10 am regarding the movement of suspected members of the faction from Dimapur towards Kohima.
The police activated its Special Operations Team (SOT) and launched a search operation, during which the suspects were apprehended from the New Secretariat area under the jurisdiction of North Police Station.
The apprehended persons were identified as Senlo Khing (56), described by the police as the ‘self-styled’ president of NNC/FGN (NA); Kitoho H Zhimomi (38), kilo kilonser; and Tovito Kiba (29), finance kilonser.

Items seized during the operation included two .32 calibre country-made pistols with two magazines and 11 live rounds, one .22 calibre country-made pistol with one magazine and five live rounds, a Mahindra Scorpio bearing registration number AS-26-3373, cash amounting to INR 48,500, four mobile phones and other documents.
Police stated that a case has been registered at North Police Station in connection with the seizure of illegal arms and other articles.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the motive, network and possible involvement of other associates, it stated.
Meanwhile, the police appealed to citizens to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies and share information relating to unlawful activities.
