DIMAPUR — Commemorating 87th raising day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the 173 Battalion stationed at Airfield Dimapur, organised a voluntary blood donation camp at its unit headquarters on Tuesday.
An update from the unit stated that the initiative was conducted in coordination with the Blood Centre of the District Hospital, Dimapur. It added that 53 personnel of the unit voluntarily donated blood on the occasion.
It stated that the blood camp was aimed at addressing critical medical requirements and supporting the local community’s healthcare needs.
“Such acts of altruism reflect the humanitarian ethos of the CRPF and underscore the Force’s commitment to societal welfare beyond its primary operational mandates,” it stated.

The programme was successfully executed with the professional support of Dr. Rongsen Longkumer and the medical team from District Hospital, Dimapur. It added that the event serves as a testament to the values of compassion and community solidarity that the CRPF consistently upholds in its engagement with the local population.
Reinforcing the CRPF’s motto of “Service and Loyalty,” the unit resolved to serve the nation with courage and commitment.
