173 Battalion CRPF distributes Sintex water tanks to 85 families during a Civic Action Programme in Dimapur.
DIMAPUR — The 173 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme at its transit camp near the deputy commissioner’s office in Dimapur on Thursday.
According to a press note, the initiative aimed to strengthen police-public relations and provide essential utility assets to rural households to improve daily living conditions and support rural infrastructure.
The programme was attended by Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Dimapur N Longshithung Ezung as the chief guest, alongside Dimapur Municipal Council Councillor Phyobemo Odyuo, Head Gaon Bura of Razhuphe Village LD Angami, and Industrial Village Razhuphe Council members K Imtiwati Ao and Kunato Sema.
During the programme, the chief guest and dignitaries formally handed over water tanks to beneficiaries. The drive addressed the immediate need for safe water storage in targeted areas and directly benefited around 85 families from Razhuphe village, Industrial village, Hill View colony, and the DC Court area.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the efforts of the 173 Battalion CRPF for its continuous endeavour in serving society beyond security duties and fostering goodwill and trust among the local populace.
