At least 15 people were injured in a bus and truck collision near Bokajan in Karbi Anglong, with several shifted to hospitals for treatment.

DIPHU — At least 15 people were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Kuligaon forest under Bokajan Police Station in Karbi Anglong, Assam.
According to reports, the bus (AS-09AC-8781) was heading towards Dolamara from Diphu ISBT, while a Bolero pickup (NL-01-AE-1099) was travelling to Dillai when the accident occurred.
Bokajan police personnel rushed to the spot, provided first aid to the injured, and shifted them to Bokajan Community Health Centre.
No fatalities had been reported as of filing this report. However, the bus driver, identified as Biren Rongphar, who sustained serious injuries, was referred to Dimapur District Hospital for further treatment.
The bus conductor, Biju Rongpi, and a passenger, Horen Rongpi, were also referred to Diphu Medical College and Hospital. The remaining injured persons received treatment at Bokajan Community Health Centre.
