13 Assam Rifles Kohima Battalion felicitates 12 NWA champions for achievements in Naga Traditional Wrestling and youth championships.

DIMAPUR — The 13 Assam Rifles, Kohima Battalion, felicitated 12 wrestlers of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) who emerged winners in various categories during the recent NWA championships.
A press release stated that the wrestlers were honoured for their achievements in the 30th Naga Traditional Wrestling Championship, 1st NWA Under-15 Championship, and 1st NWA Provisional Championship during a ceremony held at the battalion camp in Kohima.

NWA president Viviolie Kezo expressed gratitude to the 13 Assam Rifles for honouring the wrestlers and supporting the wrestling fraternity. He also urged the battalion authorities to explore opportunities for accommodating talented wrestlers in defence services under the sports quota.
Commandant of 13 Assam Rifles, Col. Manoj Kumar Singh, congratulated the wrestlers for their achievements and encouraged them to continue their legacy in the sport while serving as role models for younger athletes.
He presented awards and citations to the 12 winners during the ceremony.
