DIMAPUR — The 12th Lumami Campus Sports Club (LCSC) Tournament concluded at Nagaland University, Lumami, on November 22. The eight-day sporting event had commenced on November 15.
Delivering the valedictory address, chief guest Dr. Harish Tiwari, deputy director of sports, Nagaland University, noted that such initiatives should continue in the interest of promoting fitness and encouraged parents to motivate their children to participate in sports from a young age, as this helps recognise a child’s potential and guide them towards the right path.
According to an update, Dr. Tiwari also highlighted the importance of providing children with the necessary platforms and support to pursue their sporting ambitions and build successful careers in athletics.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sandeep Gupta, general secretary of LCSC, who said that the successful completion of the tournament was the result of collective effort, with everyone contributing to making it a meaningful and memorable achievement.
He further reflected on the purpose behind the formation of the body, recalling that it was established to bring together people from diverse backgrounds through sports.
Hukheto and Himatoli were declared players of the tournament in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively. Red House emerged as the champion team and received a trophy from the chief guest.
