Dimapur, July 10 : Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) has advised Kanpatlung Pamei, general secretary of Rongmei Naga Youth Organization (RNYO), to stop meddling into the issue which is not his business adding that RNYO is a fictitious organisation, unknown, unrecognized, unmandated by the people.
ZYF assistant secretary, G Golmei, has accused Kanpatlung Pamei, who hailed from Mahainamtsi village in Nagaland, with intention to create confusion and sow the seed of distrust and hatred among the two groups of Namthanjang village in particular and Zeliangrong community as a whole with desperate attempt to mislead the general public.
He advised Kanpatlung Pamei to know the genesis, historical background, ground reality and situation of the village before issuing such irresponsible comments and baseless allegation in public domain.
G Golmei said ZYF is an undisputed people based youth social organization having its written Constitution with successful existence of more than 35 years rendering selfless service for the people with its sincere efforts, impeccable integrity to resolve and settle any kind of social issues and problems well known by the people for which they have extended maximum and unflinching support and cooperation to ZYF.
Meanwhile, it accused RNYO of trying to conceal and distort facts, divert attention from the law enforcing agency and attempted to cover up the unlawful and criminal activities perpetrated by some individuals against the co-villagers at Namthanjang village by taking the law into their own hands who allegedly destroyed five houses, vehicles, valuable properties, granaries, poultry sheds and did not even spare livestock of the victims who fled from homes fearing for their lives.
Stating that it is the duty and responsibility of every law abiding citizen to extend maximum cooperation to law enforcing agencies to arrest the criminals, it said ZYF has handed over those accused persons who were absconding and evading arrest following FIR being registered against them for their criminal activities at the concerned police stations.
It said ZYF’s action of handing over the accused persons to concerned police station for law to take up its own course of action against the criminals was only assisting the law enforcing agency.
On the contrary, it said RNYO’s objection only exposed that RNYO was behind the accused persons to commit such criminal and unlawful activities in Namthanjang village.
It, therefore, said the activities of RNYO now required vigilance and strict observation by the law enforcing agency since the RNYO was glorifying the gross violation of human rights, criminal and unlawful activities happening at Namthanjang village.
