Zunheboto TB Forum holds meeting

[caption id="attachment_265114" align="alignnone" width="550"] Members of Zunheboto District TB Forum pose for a photograph during its second meeting on August 8.[/caption] Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Zunheboto District Tuberculosis (TB) Forum conducted its second meeting on August 8 at the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto. Peter Lichamo, Deputy Commissioner and chairman of District TB Forum, Zunheboto, chaired the meeting and welcomed all the participants, stated an update from Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer. In his welcome note, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. CW Tungoe, encouraged and motivated the members to take special initiative stating that TB programme is one of the important public health undertakings. District TB Officer, Zunheboto, Dr. G Viholi Sema, presented a brief overview and objectives of TB Forum and highlighted on the importance to coordinate among allied departments and civil societies. She also emphasised the role of TB Forum members to support, supervise, monitor and ensure implementation of TB activities in the district. She also briefly highlighted on RNTCP activities carried out in the district. Short testimony was shared by a cured TB patient. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Anatoli, STS, RNTCP, Zunheboto. The meeting was attended by DC, SP, ADC, CMO, DPO (RCH &UIP), Deputy CMO, secretary of Indian Red Cross Zunheboto,  DTO- RNTCP, EAC, STH, church leaders and IEC bureau, Zunheboto.
