Zunheboto, Mon prepare for benefits saturation camps
Zunheboto and Mon districts prepare for Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan benefit saturation camps from June 15 to 30, targeting tribal communities.
- DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Zunheboto, Dharam
Raj, convened a coordination meeting on Thursday with all line departments
regarding the upcoming launch of "Dharti Aaba Abhiyan – Awareness and
Benefits Saturation Camps" from June 15 to the 30th.
- During the
meeting, the DC highlighted that the Government of India, through the Ministry
of Tribal Affairs, is undertaking two critical and time-bound missions to
empower tribal communities, according to a DIPR report.
- He noted
that the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN) and the
Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) aim to saturate services
and infrastructure in tribal areas across the country through targeted
interventions.

- Further,
the DC emphasised that, unlike traditional IEC campaigns, the campaign ensures
on-the-ground delivery of entitlements through village-level or cluster-level
camps, providing the following (indicative list): Aadhaar card, ration card,
Ayushman Bharat card (PM-JAY), caste certificate, domicile certificate, Kisan
Credit Card, PM-KISAN, Jan Dhan account, insurance coverage (PMJJBY/PMSBY),
social security (Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Divyang Pension), employment
and livelihood schemes (MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, Mudra Loans), women and child
welfare (PMMVY, ICDS Benefits, Immunisation), etc.
- Furthermore,
the DC said that the campaign shall operate with the active participation of
common service centres, local administration, frontline workers, and
departmental convergence to ensure that benefits reach eligible tribal
individuals and families. He therefore appealed to all line workers for sincere
participation to ensure the campaign’s success.
