Zunheboto DPDB reviews key developmental proposals, while Kiphire postpones its August meeting to August 12.

DIMAPUR — The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) of Zunheboto reviewed multiple developmental projects during its monthly meeting on Wednesday, while the upcoming meeting for Kiphire has been rescheduled to August 12.
The Zunheboto DPDB meeting was held at the deputy commissioner's (DC) conference hall under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman of DPDB and DC of Zunheboto, Dharam Raj.
According to a DIPR report, during the meeting, the board reviewed several development proposals that had already been approved and forwarded to the government.
These included the Green Initiatives proposal, the establishment of a Fire and Emergency Services Station at Akuluto, the setting up of a Public Health Engineering (PHE) office at Satakha, and the construction of the District Welfare Office at Zunheboto.
The board also approved the organisation of the 13th Intra-Departmental Tournament, which will be held from September 17 to the 19th, featuring six sporting events aimed at promoting healthy competition among government departments.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Shaying Sheu, presented the departmental work distribution and responsibilities for the smooth conduct of the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations.
A presentation on the VB G-RAM-G Scheme was delivered by the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), highlighting the objectives, implementation strategy, and expected benefits of the programme in strengthening rural development and improving grassroots governance.
The meeting concluded with a call for continued coordination among all departments to ensure the timely implementation of approved developmental initiatives and the successful organisation of upcoming district events.
Meanwhile, District Planning Officer and Member Secretary of DPDB Kiphire, Koroto Ngullie, has informed that in view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebration, the DPDB meeting for the month of August has been postponed to August 12 at 11 am in the conference hall of the DC Kiphire.
All board members, heads of offices, and concerned officials have been requested to take note of the revised schedule and attend the meeting. Agenda items may be submitted to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in advance for inclusion.
