Kohima, Oct. 30 (EMN): The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has reportedly merged with GPRN-NSCN, dissolving its existence after signing an agreement with the latter on October 26.
‘After a series of deliberations between the GPRN-NSCN and the Zeliangrong United Front in presence of the civil society of Zeliangrongs, the Zeliangrong United Front on its own violation will and determination for the bright future of the Nagas in general and specifically for the upcoming generations do hereby resolve to merge and be dissolved in the GPRN-NSCN and shall remain here upon as one entity by all means and ways,’ read the declaration.
It further stated that the ‘identity of Zeliangrong United Front will cease to exist with the declaration made on October 26.
The declaration signed by ZUF Chairman Raitu Chawang and its vice chairman S Kamson, was accepted by N Kitovi Zhimomi, Ato Kilonser, GPRN-NSCN; and Alezo Venuh, special envoy to Collective Leadership of the GPRN-NSCN.
