
DIMAPUR — The Zeliang Students' Union Dimapur (ZSUD), along with its apex bodies and subordinate units, held a deliberation at the Tourist Lodge in Dimapur on July 13 in preparation for the upcoming Inter-Tribal Cultural Dance Competition.
The meeting focused on finalising arrangements and ensuring that every aspect of the event reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas, according to a press release.
The discussion covered various critical aspects, including the coordination of participants, logistical arrangements, and the preservation of cultural heritage through the competition.
Leaders and members of the ZSUD emphasised the importance of this event in fostering unity and showcasing the rich cultural diversity of the tribal communities. The deliberation also addressed the need to ensure a seamless experience for all attendees.
Asap Zeliang, president of the ZSUD, highlighted the significance of the competition, stating that the event is a celebration of identity and heritage. He stressed that the aim is to bring together different tribes, fostering mutual respect and understanding through the universal language of dance.
The Inter-Tribal Cultural Dance Competition is set to take place in September.
