Dimapur, Dec. 10 (EMN): The first edition of the Zeliang Officer’s Association Nagaland (ZOAN) Badminton tournament was held at Indoor Stadium, Jalukie on Friday.
The tournament was organised as part of the 7th general conference of ZOAN with the executive secretary of Zeme Baptist Church Council, Rev. Izieteilung Terieng as the special guest, a DIPR report informed.
The special guest, in his speech lauded ZOAN for taking the initiative in organising the tournament. He also said that the Zeliang officers are the most fortunate citizens of Peren district and urged them to protect their land and their people.
The programme was chaired by EAC Peren hqs., Ihoilung Chuilo, while special song was presented by Matui N Hau and vote of thanks was delivered by district surveillance officer, Peren, Dr. Hedungkiebe Rao, it read.
