Zhaleo urges officers to develop work culture

DIMAPUR — As Chümoukedima district was given the sobriquet ‘Land of opportunities,’ the advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, called upon the officers develop work culture with the opportunities that the departments have in their programmes and activities for benefit of the public.

Zhaleo stated this during the monthly meeting of Chümoukedima district planning and development board (DPDB) held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office on Wednesday. Zhaleo, who is also the board’s chairman, looked forward to the support and cooperation from all the departments in serving the people, stated a DIPR report.

In his address, Zhaleo encouraged all the officers to freely participate in the discussion in order to enable other departments know about their respective departments. While reminding the officers that they have big responsibility with purpose working in Chümoukedima district, he urged them to be accommodative in their approach and be a source of blessing to the public.

During the meeting, the board reviewed the last meeting agenda pertaining to recognition of Shikato village under Dhansiripar sub-division, which was approved after authentication and verification. Other agenda for discussion included recognition of Jehovah Jereh School in Vidima, grant-in-aid for Highland Hall Higher Secondary School in Naga United Village, which would be taken up after the submission of report by DEO in the next meeting. The house also decided to take up the registration of society for Serendip Guardians at 7th Mile Model Village in the next meeting.

Report added that the nodal officer of disaster management, Chümoukedima, gave a short presentation on monsoon forecast, while the departments from PWD (R&B), Health and Family Welfare and PHE also delivered short reviews on monsoon preparedness.
