Zhaleo Rio inaugurates Chiephobozou Town Council office building

DIMAPUR — The newly constructed Chiephobozou Town Council (CTC) office was inaugurated by Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, at CTC Hall, Chiephobozou, on Wednesday.

Speaking as the special guest, Rio congratulated the CTC team for the completion of the office building with sufficient accommodation within a limited amount, stated a DIPR report.

He called upon the elected councillors, ADC and executive officer of CTC to openly discuss and deliberate on any revenue generated or ULB fund allocation during house meetings and arrive at a consensus with accountability.

He encouraged the elected councillors to work as a team and function under one umbrella for the development of the sub-division. He also appealed to them to exercise their powers and responsibility as defined in the Municipal Act judiciously.

Stating that the population census and e-roll were not properly enumerated in the past, he suggested and urged the ADC, EO Chiephobozou and elected councillors to take the initiative for genuine enumeration in the next census.

Earlier, the special guest also unveiled the monolith. He was accompanied by YM Humtsoe, MLA, and officers from the Urban and Municipal Affairs department.
