Zhaleo inaugurates infrastructures in New Piphema

DIMAPUR — The advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, on Thursday, inaugurated children's mini-park, football ground and village council hall in New Piphema Village.

Speaking as the special guest, Zhaleo lauded the exemplary deeds of the villagers, which was observed even during the general election this year, stated an update by the press secretary of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC, Thejangukho Yalietsu.

"Everyone has witnessed your unity, discipline and respect for leaders which are prerequisites for bringing positive changes in society," he said and advised the leaders of other villages to emulate them.

On the landmark achievement of completing three infrastructural projects all at a time, Zhaleo remarked that it can happen only "when residents of the community are united and trust their leaders." He also informed the villagers that he is committed for their uplift and welfare in whichever way possible.

"My house and my heart are always open for the people," he added.

The inaugural programme was chaired by Kevisezo Kimho, secretary of New Piphema Village Council, while Khovi Chalieu, pastor of CRC New Piphema, invoked God's blessings and Chüto Kimho, head GB, welcomed the dignitaries.

Pelezeto Kuotsu, president of PKKK, delivered greetings and Metsizolie Kimho presented a song.

A detailed technical report of the three projects was presented by Zhato Kimho, chairman of New Piphema Village Council, while Kevisazo Kimho, VDB secretary, delivered the vote of thanks.

The womenfolk enthralled the gathering through a folk song during the programme.
