Dimapur, April 2 (EMN): Zhadima village, located in the northern Angami area of Kohima district, celebrated on April 2 its 25 years of recognition by the government. The celebration was held at the village’s sports complex. Updates received on Monday informed about the event.
Head GB Mezhükieo invoked blessings while Rev. Dr. TR Angami unveiled a monolith commemorating the anniversary .
Zhadima village was recognized by the Nagaland government on April 2 1993, it was informed.
Marking the celebration aimed at passing on the culture and tradition to the younger generation, the eight khels of the village participated in showcasing the rich traditional practiced farming method carried out the village along with the different forms of signing during each stage clearing of the field to post harvest.
Chairman Zhadima Village Council, Kesovilhou Chüpuo chaired the programme and Zhadima VDB secretary Roko Angami delivered welcome address. Ex-VDB Secretary Peter Kuotsu delivered greetings while the history of the village was shared by Angami Public Organisation vice president, KT Vilie Theünuo and Northern Angami Public Organisation president, Neiyalie Pfüsenuo.
