Zeliangrong leaders appeal people not to rake up ‘ZLR homeland’ issue

EMN DIMAPUR, December 18 The Zeliangrong leaders have resolved to appeal to the people not to rake up the 'Zeliangrong homeland demand' issue. This is one of the resolutions adopted during the joint consultative meeting of the Zelianrong region 'national workers' and leaders of civil organizations held on December 17 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, Nagaland The meeting resolved to appeal all Zeliangrong citizens including individuals, groups, church organizations, social organizations living in Assam, Manipur, Nagaland and elsewhere not to take up the issue of 'Zeliangrong homeland demand' since the issue is kept in abeyance. The meeting christened as 'Joint Consultative Meeting' of the Zeliangrong Region 'national workers' and leaders of civil organizations then reaffirmed Zeliangrong peoples' support to the 'collective leadership' in bringing about honorable and acceptable solution to the decades old Indo-Naga issue. The meeting also decided to work collectively with the national workers, civil society leaders and general public till the Nagas achieve our aspired national goal.
