- DIMAPUR — The new
office of the Zeliangrong Football Association (ZFA) was inaugurated on May 19
by Dinganglung (Dipu) Gangmei, chairman of the Hill Area Committee (HAC) and
MLA for the 54-Nungba Assembly Constituency, Manipur.
- He is also the chairman of the organising committee of the
Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament 2025.
- According to an update, the event took place at the
Zeliangrong Building, Kahulong, Paona Bazar, Imphal, in the presence of Athai
Kamei, acting president of the Zeliangrong Union (AMN), and Aguilung Gangmei,
president of the ZFA.
- On the occasion, the ZFA also announced the commencement of
the 14th edition of the Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament from the week of
October. The tournament is open only to the Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei/Kabui, and
Puimei communities residing in the states of Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland.

- For this year's tournament, the winning team will be awarded
a cash prize of INR 2 lakh along with a trophy. The runner-up team will receive
INR 1 lakh and a trophy. Other group and individual awards include “Best
Disciplined Team” and “Best March Past/Parade Team,” each with INR 20,000.
Awards for “Best Player,” “Best Goalkeeper,” and “Top Scorer” will each receive
INR 10,000 along with a cup.
- The entry form costs INR 1,000, and the registration fee is
INR 5,000. Entry forms for this year’s tournament will be issued from the first
week of September at the office.
