Chief Minister, TR Zeliang on Tuesday called on his counterpart from Arunachal Pradesh, Nabam Tuki at New Delhi to discuss the peace frame work which was signed between the government of India and the NSCN (IM) on August 3 last.
According to a press release from the CMO, Zeliang had explained the need to respect and understand the history of both the states in order to ensure peaceful co-existence.
“He emphasized that it was essential for both the states to be integrated socially, economically and politically. Nabam Tuki responded that he had agreed to support the frame work as there is a need for peace and progress in the North Eastern states, but on the condition that his state was not divided geographically,” the statement claimed.
