Dimapur, Feb. 1: The state government’s betrayal of the January 30 agreement continues to draw ire even as the Naga National Council (NNC) on Wednesday hit out at chief minister TR Zeliang. “The Naga National Council has nothing to do with Indian Constitution or state elections. But seeing the situation getting worse, we cannot remain silent. Who is Mr. TR Zeliang to defy and challenge the Naga peoples’ voice and their peaceful movement? “Is he a dictator and his cabinet ministers are his running dogs? He has set Nagaland on fire, and so he and his government will have to bear all the consequences. The peoples’ voice must be prevailed. Our sympathy and blessings goes to the people,” a statement from the NNC read.
