Dimapur, Jan. 12 (EMN): The Khonoma Thevoma Union Nagaland has appealed to the deputy commissioner of Dimapur to ensure ‘early conclusion’ to the investigation of the ‘brutal’ murder of Kevi Zakiesato whose dead body was found on Dec. 18, 2018 in Dimapur.
“…we have been closely following the progress of investigation that were being made by the esteemed office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur. We are grateful and appreciative of the efforts that the investigative agencies have made so far to find out and to fix responsibility on the person(s) guilty of the crime, even as by any means we will have to know the truth about the horrible crime regardless of whoever may have been involved in the case,” the union said in a letter to the deputy commissioner.
“That sir, having stated that, now as the case is under active investigation by legal government authorities, we hereby fervently appeal to you that the investigation be vigorously carried out without fear or favour so that the truth of the matter is brought to light without any further delay and that justice be done as per the provisions of the law,” it read further.
