Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): The Yachem Village Council (YVC) and Noksosang Village Council (NVC) have strongly objected the news item appeared in local dailies on July 1, demanding for the transfer of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Longleng by JCC.
“When the issue has been amicably settled between the Phom People Council (PPC) and Yachem Village Council (YVC) during Joint meeting on February 6, 2017 in Longleng and the same been published in all the local dailies on the following day, and even after clarifying by the PPC in many occasions, the JCC still insisting for transfer of the DC, Longleng without any reason isn’t acceptable under any circumstances” stated YVC chairman, M. Imti Phom and
NVC chairman, Hennang Phom.
The two councils therefore, rejected the demand and requested all to respect and uphold the February 6 agreement between the Phom People Council (PPC) and Yachem Village Council (YVC).
