DIMAPUR — Reciprocating the call for peace and unity among the Nagas under
the banner of "Forgive and Forget," all ranks of the Naga Army, led
by Major General Todimong of the Yung Aung group, united with the NSCN-K (Ang
Mai) on November 21 at Liutik village, Kondon Range, in the Khiamniungan region
of “Eastern Naga Land (Myanmar)”.
According
to an update, in appreciation of the nationalistic pursuit and sacrifice, a
thanksgiving prayer was observed on November 21 in the Khiamniungan region
(Myanmar).
Senior
leaders of the NSCN, led by Mankhat Konyak, Deputy Kilonser of the Ministry of
Religious Affairs and vice chairman of the Ceasefire Committee (Myanmar), Y
Khomong Khiam, Deputy Kilonser of the Ministry of Kilo Affairs, and Khatwang
Konyak, CCM, received the cadres.
‘This
symbolic development is a positive step for a futuristic geopolitical
masterpiece of unison, exemplifying the roadmap towards Naga struggle to retain
sovereignty. While marching forward towards Naga political destiny, the NSCN
(GPRN) commits itself to leave none behind,’ it read.
It was
reported that in a span of three weeks, 43 villages were toured and "unequivocal
support" was pledged to the NSCN (GPRN)-K by the Khiamniungan people in
their support for peace, development in Naga-inhabited areas of Myanmar, and
political growth.
