Dimapur, June 13 (EMN): Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) has served seven days deadline to the Yimchungrü national workers of NSCN (R) to disassociate from the organisation in the interest of the Yimchungru people in general from the date of publication of this statement. In a press release, YTC information and publicity secretary, Mathew K Janger, stated that if they fail to abide by its directive within stipulated time frame, they would be ex-communicated from the community as per resolution made on May 13, 2019, at Old Showuba village. YTC pointed out that several appeals/ representations/ memorandums have been submitted to the NSCN (R) government. However, NSCN (R) government has not address the issue in the interest of YTC. YTC also stated that the statement issued by Yimchungru national workers of NSCN (R) terming the issue as a clear case of defection was totally ‘false and baseless’ and do not hold water under any circumstances when they have agreed in principle and appended their signature in the meeting on May 13, 2019. YTC therefore asked the Yimchungrü national workers of NSCN (R) to abide by its directive as desired by the Yimchungru public.
