Diphu, April 2 (EMN): Youtuber Jonasing Rongphar of Dongkamukam in West Karbi Anglong, seeing the plight of the people in the remote hamlet of Amlong Apam, undertook charity work distributed rice, dal and oil to the villagers on March 31.
Rongphar has opened his own YouTube channel named after himself ‘Jonasing Rongphar’ in 2016 and with the savings of the revenue from monetisation, undertook his charity work.
He said that, “When I visited Amlong Apam I witnessed the plight of the villagers with no communication and living conditions and wanted to help them in my own possible way”. Rongphar also informed that he has to go on foot to reach the village due to lack of basic facilities like road, electricity, potable water facility and educational institutions.
