
Dimapur, March 25 (EMN): With an aim to provide exposure and a centralised platform for local artisans, SHG and entrepreneurs to promote their products and services, a two-day exhibition-cum-sales day, organised by YouthNet and sponsored by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) got underway at ‘Made In Nagaland Centre,’ opposite Nagaland Civil Secretariat in Kohima on March 24.
The exhibition-cum-sales day was formally inaugurated by Poji, district development manager of NABARD, along with chair and founder of YouthNet, Hekani Jakhalu, an update from YouthNet stated.
Speaking on the occasion, Hekani Jakhalu thanked NABARD for their support and assistance and highlighted the objectives of the event. She stated that the two-day event would benefit the local artisans, SHG and entrepreneurs by connecting with the right audience to showcase their products and also help them in market linkage.
She informed that the participants would be given the opportunity to showcase their products in ‘Made In Nagaland Expo Center,’ wherein they would also get the opportunity to be incubated under the YouthNet Incubation Center (YIC).
In his inaugural speech, Poji has appreciated the initiative and efforts of YouthNet for organising the event and encouraged the participants to take full leverage of the platform to not only generate revenue but network and promote their crafts and products.
Report stated that a total of 15 artisans, SHG and entrepreneurs are participating in the event by showcasing their products ranging from garments and accessories, minor forest products, fresh and dry vegetables, ready to eat food items, art and crafts during the two-day event.
