Kohima, Dec. 9 (EMN): In a first of its kind, Department of Under Developed Areas (DUDA) in collaboration with Zynorique Initiatives had organised a month-long programme training in heavy construction and equipment operation under DUDA, UDAP 2016-17.
Altogether 36 trainees from Mon, Tuensang, Longleng and Kiphire districts attended the training and were conferred certificates on completion of the training.
DUDA’s Director KS Anden Konyak, addressing the valedictory function on November 9, said that the department had conducted the training course on heavy construction and equipment operator for the first time. He congratulated all the trainees who attended the programme. He also stated that the department had initiated training in different fields for the people from eastern Nagaland so that they become at par with rest of the districts.
Anden also urged upon the trainees to be humble, honest and hardworking and become successful entrepreneurs with the knowledge gained through the training.
Dr. Anungla Phom, Joint Director DUDA, stated that the department organises training every year for the four districts of eastern Nagaland. Stating that DUDA is a people’s department, she urged upon the people of the region to come forward with ideas and suggestions and work together for the betterment of the eastern Nagaland.
Team leaders of the three groups stated that they have been benefited a lot from the one-month training programme, adding they would carrying home good memories how they were trained on various heavy machineries. They also thanked the DUDA for conducting the training programme and hoped more such trainings would be organised in the future.
In his vote of thanks, Richard Belho, chairman of Zynorique Initiatives, expressed appreciation to all trainees for attending the programme with discipline and dedication. He also conveyed gratitude to all those who have helped to make the training programme a success.
