Dimapur, November 15:Emerging Naga tennis players has once again landed some major trophies at the Indo-Bhutan Tennis friendship tournament and the 4th Northeast Open held at Thimpu and Manipur respectively.
Keneisezotuo Whuorie has won both singles and doubles titles at Indo-Bhutan Tennis friendship tournament held at Thimpu from November 6 to 13. He defeated Neeraj Choudhary 6-4, 6-3 in the finals and partnered with Pinak Chou to win the doubles 6-3, 6-2.
In the 4th Northeast Tennis Open Tournament, Vilasier Khate, Metba Phom and Lenien Jamir clean swept the tournament held at Imphal, Manipur from November 9 to 13. Vilasier defended his title for the third consecutive time in the singles category after defeating Lalmachuana from Mizoram 6-1, 6-2 in the final.

Khate who partnered Metba Phom in doubles clinched the title after defeating Manipur top seeds Brojen and Lelenjeet Singh to win the sets 6-1, 7-6.
Lenien Jamir also completed the sweep by clinching the ladies singles title 6-3, 6-2. A press release informing of the results was issued by Nagaland Tennis Association on Tuesday.
