Dimapur, Feb. 28 (EMN): Around 170 scouts and cubs and bulbuls organised an awareness campaign on use of helmets by two-wheelers in Dimapur town on February 27.
The scouts, cubs and bulbuls undertook an awareness drive from Clock Tower junction to Deluxe Point by explaining to the commuters on the importance of wearing helmets and how it could protect them during road accident.
The campaign was led by M Gnana Nirmala, national training commissioner cum secretary for Hindustan Scouts and Guides, India. She was accompanied by three scouts and three guides.
In a press release, Nirmala has thanked the commissioner of police, Lima Sunep, for the permit and other police officers for providing security. She also thanked Kumari Munesh for her valuable presence during the campaign as well as to the head of institutions and parents for their support and encouragement.
