Yongshei Village Baptist Church marks 75 years with a platinum jubilee celebration attended by PBCA leaders and community members.

IMAPUR — The Yongshei Village Baptist Church, Longleng, celebrated its platinum jubilee from December 19 to the 21st on the theme "Thus far the Lord has helped us".
According to a DIPR report, N Tialemba Phom, executive secretary of the Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA), unveiled and dedicated the platinum jubilee monolith.
Delivering the message, Tialemba Phom highlighted the blessings bestowed upon the people of Yongshei over the past 75 years. He encouraged the congregation to become ambassadors of God’s mission.
The celebration, held at the Yongshei (Büshok), was attended by the Yongshei community, delegates from various Phom churches, and guests. The programme commenced with the opening ceremony of the jubilee hall, followed by the screening of a documentary on the advent of Christianity in Yongshei village.
Speakers at the event included C Shaoang, missionary, Youth with a Mission, New Delhi; Dr. Y Nuklu Phom, chairman and team leader, Lemsachenlok, Longleng; and M Moishen Buchem, literature secretary, PBCA.
The three-day celebration culminated with a programme led by H Yongko, chairman of the Jubilee Planning Committee, and L Yemsho, associate pastor of Yongshei Baptist Church.
