
Dimapur, Sep. 14 (EMN): As part of the month-long Poshan Maah celebration to disseminate awareness on health and nutrition, the department of Social Welfare in Peren district conducted a district-level yoga awareness camp at New Jalukie local ground on September 14.
Speaking at the programme, CDPO of Jalukie, Namhuheing, stated that yoga helps in stimulating the body, mind, and soul and brings together physical and mental discipline besides helps one in managing stress and anxiety.
He also encouraged the participants to maintain a proper diet to keep their bodies fit and healthy, stated a DIPR report.
Also speaking at the programme, the CDPO of Nsong, Disong Chawang, encouraged the participants to adopt yoga in their life as a means to promote positive physical and mental health.
It stated that the programme was chaired by supervisor, Meyie Kronu, while a demonstration of yoga was conducted by Mezilung and Kekungdibo, and the programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the district coordinator, Kukule.
