Wokha, June 26 (EMN): Commemorating Year of Construction Workers (YOCW), six-day training kicked started in Wokha with the participation of 50 selected trainees at Government ITI, Wokha.
Launching of the programme, a welcome note was address by Enchi Longkumer, Principal of GITI Wokha, while the keynote address was delivered by Richard Belho, architect and chairman of Zynorique Initiative.
Speaking on the Year of Construction Workers (YOCW), Richard Belho stressed on man power for capacity building in the State.
Addressing the trainees, he exhorted them to give utmost attention during the six-day of training in acquiring knowledge in order to uplift the rural economy. He urged upon the gathering to be more responsible so that the department can supplement for further development in future.
SDO (C) Wokha, said the trainees were lucky to be selected in the first phase of capacity building through the government in collaboration of YouthNet and training partners Zynorique Initiative.
Zubemo Lotha, Assistant Director of ITI, Wokha, spoke on maintaining discipline and respect in order to achieve success in life.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Phyobenthung Khuvung, while the invocation was said by Nyambemo Lotha and the vote of thanks was delivered by Kesalhoukho Casavi.
