Yhunsinlo Tep laid to rest at his village

  [caption id="attachment_281375" align="alignright" width="300"] R Khing speaks at the funeral service of Yhunsinlo Tep.[/caption] Kohima, Nov .4 (EMN): Nagaland’s PHED chief engineer Yhunsinlo Tep, who passed away on November 1 in Kohima, was laid to rest at his native village, Tesophenyu under Tseminyu sub-division of Kohima district on November 3. During the funeral service, Repang Longkumer, acting chief engineer, PHED, acknowledged the enormous contribution of Tep, stating that his "team work, spirit and goodwill deeds will stay ever fresh in the diary of the department." R Khing, advisor for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary services and Women Resource Development, said that Tep was an upright and sincere officer. He informed that the deceased was the joined the department as an SDO in 1987 and after holding different posts was promoted to the Chief Engineer in 2019. He was the second Rengma to hold the post of Chief Engineer in the PHE department. “By his demise, the state has lost an efficient and upright senior officer and our community has lost a son in whom we looked up to,” Khing stated. Condolence messages from Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, deputy CM Y Patton, PHED minister Jacob Zhimomi and others were also read out at the funeral service.
