Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): The YellowChain office, an e-commerce outlet, was launched today by the deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, at Hillview colony.
Speaking at the inaugural function, the CEO of IDAN, Alemtemshi Jamir, stated that ‘e-commerce is here to stay and mankind cannot run away.’ He expressed that in the few years’ time, all villages themselves would be connected to e-commerce, which nobody could avoid.
He also informed that anyone, who registered on the YellowChain, could continue their business activities even if shops are closed. While stating that developing the software was not easy, he, however, stated that it has been developed with a ‘hope that one day the whole Nagaland will be integrated to yellow chain.’
He informed that any private sector could join by registering themselves and advertise their goods. Stating that few hundreds have already joined, he expected others to join. About the delivery system, Jamir said that they are trying to put in place and making it feasible for district wise exchange of goods and vegetables.
