Dimapur, August 1 (EMN): A week-long training, under Year of Construction Workers has begun in Zunheboto under the joint venture of Government of Nagaland in partnership with YouthNet, Zynorique Initiatives and the Department of Employment, Skill Develeopment and Entrepreneurship.
In the inaugural session, Richard Belho of Zynorique Initiatives exhorted the trainees and also highlighted the concept and main objectives of the YOCW. He encouraged the trainees to take the training seriously as there are lots of opportunities in the construction industry.
Civil SDO Zunheboto, Er. Namang Sepong Chang, in his motivational talk said whether small or big work one should take pride in whatever work one is doing and also promote dignity of labour. He further told the trainees to work hard with dignity and humility.
The inaugural function was chaired by K. Avika Achumi, DEO Zunheboto while Rev. Yevito Zhimo, senior pastor of SBCZ pronounced invocation.
Altogether 50 trainees (14 female and 36 male) are undergoing training. The training will conclude on August 5.
