Year of Construction Worker concludes in Dimapur

Dimapur, July 10 (EMN): A valedictory programme of the Year of Construction Worker 2016-2017 for Dimapur district was held on July 8 at Government Women ITI, Dimapur. [caption id="attachment_125737" align="alignnone" width="520"] Construction workers and organisers at the Government Women ITI in Dimapur after the valedictory programme.[/caption] The programme was organised and sponsored by the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and initiated by the Youth Net and Zynonique. The programme which started in the month of May have so far covered seven districts, with four more (Mon, Longleng, Zunheboto and Kohima) to be covered. A total of 350 people have so far been trained which is inclusive of 51 people from Dimapur District. Commissioner& Secretary of Labour, Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Bendangkokba, IAS, while congratulating the young workers, encouraged them to work hard. He reiterated that the department will assist in providing such trainings in the future. The programme was chaired by Kevitsu Doze, speech by DEO Savio, and distribution of certificates. Chairman of Zynorique Initiative, Richard Belho proposed vote of thanks. Team Red and Kidongmeren Longkumer were presented gifts for emerging as the best team and best trainer respectively.
