Dimapur: Governor of Nagaland, La. Ganesan, on Friday administered oath to NDPP legislator Mhathung Yanthan as pro-tem Speaker of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA).
An update from PRO Raj Bhavan informed that the event was held in the presence of state Chief Secretary, DGP Nagaland, Home Commissioner and other officials in the office chamber of the Governor in Kohima.
It came two days after the governor appointed Yanthan as pro-tem Speaker, before whom the members of the 14th NLA will make and subscribe their oath of office or affirmation. He will perform the duties of the Speaker until the Assembly elects one.
