
Yansomong along with other dignitaries during the 59th
federal assembly of Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako in Longbeakrü village on January

- DIMAPUR — The
59th federal assembly of the Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako (YAA) was held on January
7 in Longbeakrü village, which was jointly hosted by Longbeakrü Students' Union
and the village council.
- An update from the organisation stated that the event began
with unveiling of monolith by its vice president, Yansomong, and the dedicatory
prayer said by H Longso, pastor of LBC.
- Speaking on the occasion, Yansomong stressed the importance
of cohesiveness and urged the students to strive building a better society. He
also further encouraged the leaders to give more important towards the uplift
of education sector and to keep in check on illicit activities in schools.
- He further urged the public to maintain peace and
tranquility with neighbouring villages and wished that the federal assembly in
Longbeakrü village would bring blessings to the residents of Longbeakrü and
student community.
- The business hour began with an invocation prayer said by
Wongtsukiu, general secretary of YSUK. The session was chaired by its speaker,
Lemchimong, and co-chaired Shokum KM, YAA deputy speaker, and recorded by TS
Wongtong, YAA assembly secretary.
- It stated that a total of 250 delegates from 58 federating
units attended the assembly.
