DIMAPUR — Multiple delegations and individuals, including Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, called on the Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav, at Lok Bhavan in Kohima on March 21 and 22.
According to posts shared by the official handles of Lok Bhawan, Nagaland, and Patton on X, on Sunday, the deputy CM called on the governor at Lok Bhavan.
“Had the honour of calling on the Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland, Shri Nand Kishore Yadav Ji (@nkishoreyadav), at Lok Bhavan (@LokBhavanKohima) in Kohima today and wished him the very best in his new responsibility,” Patton wrote following the meeting.
Pappu Ram Choudhary, an endurance cyclist from Rajasthan, also met the governor. Currently on his pan-India cycling expedition "Shakti Sankalp Safar", Choudhary briefed the governor about his mission to promote environmental conservation, fitness, road safety, and social awareness among the youth.

the Governor appreciated his dedication and wished him success in his inspiring journey.
Dr. Prashanna Gogoi, Director of the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, called on the governor and briefed him on the activities and initiatives of the NEZCC aimed at promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Additionally, Col. (Dr.) Smita Mishra, Principal of Sainik School Punglwa, along with students who have been selected for the National Defence Academy (NDA), met the governor. He congratulated the students on their remarkable achievement and wished them success in their future endeavours in service to the nation.
Earlier, on March 21, Dr. Ashish Kumar, Hindi Officer and Assistant Registrar of Nagaland University, along with his colleagues, called on the governor.
Prof. Dr. BKS Sanjay, President of AIIMS Guwahati, also paid a visit to the governor at Lok Bhavan.
Furthermore, members of the Gorkha Public Panchayat, Kohima, called on the governor. The delegation warmly welcomed him to the state and briefed him on the history of the Gorkha community in Nagaland, including their settlement in Kohima and their significant contributions, particularly during World War II in the historic Battle of Kohima.
They also apprised the governor of their grievances and concerns. The governor appreciated the invaluable contributions of the Gorkha community and assured them that their grievances would be looked into.
