X Polo, Manipur Police register huge wins at DGAR polo championship

IMPHAL — The DGAR Men and Women Polo Championship 2025, underway at the historic Mapal Kangjeibung in Imphal, saw, in the men’s category, X Polo Club dominate Krypsa Polo Club Team A 12-0 and Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) Team B secure a 16-1 win against ESC Team B on Thursday.
In the women’s category, a closely contested match saw the Assam Rifles Mahila Polo team edge past Chingkheihunba Polo Club with a narrow 6-5 victory.
It may be noted that a total of 32 polo teams are participating in the tournament, including 27 men’s teams and five women’s teams. Three teams from the Assam Rifles are also taking part in the event, which will continue until February 8.
