Wushu coaching camp underway in West Karbi Anglong

  • DIPHU — A 15-day wushu coaching camp, with the aim of nurturing local talents to represent the district at the international level, commenced on Jan. 3 at Jengkha playground in West Karbi Anglong.

  • Organised by the West Karbi Anglong district sports officer, in collaboration with the West Karbi Anglong Wushu Association, the camp features renowned international coach and judge, Wangmir Wushu from Nagaland.

  • The coaching camp, from Jan. 3 to the 18th, received sponsorship from Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, CEM KAAC, and the Department of Youth Welfare, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.

  • The inauguration ceremony was attended by guests, including Honsing Terang, ex-VDC chairman, Mohonsing Kro, president of AAPTA and parents of wushu students.

  • The initiative is a significant step towards promoting wushu in the region and providing opportunities for local athletes to excel in the sport.
