WTBC youth ministry kick-starts sports evangelism week

WOKHA — Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTBC) youth ministry kick-started it sports evangelism week on Monday at public ground, Wokha, on the theme ‘Compete in Christ’ (1 Corinthians 9:24).

In the opening ceremony marked by flag hoisting and lighting of the sports cauldron, Nrikhon, Deacon of WBTC invoked God’s blessings and Mhabeni Khuvung, associate youth director, WTBC, delivered the welcome note.

Assistant pastor, WTBC, Samuel Ovung, called upon the youths to compete in Christ and strengthen the relationship with God and amongst the youths.

The ministry’s games and sports secretary, Nchumthung Ngullie, administered the oath-taking and declaration of the sports evangelism week 2023 was done by Samuel Ovung, assistant pastor, WTBC.

On the occasion, GHS and Zuvuodong youth fellowship presented a special number.
