DIMAPUR — A children hymn book titled ‘Itimi Leku,’ published by the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK), was released by Rev. Khehovi Shohe, director of Sümi Baptist Convention (SBC) on Tuesday at WSBAK Mission Centre, Thahekhü.

Speaking at the hymn book launch event, Rev. Shohe informed that Bible and hymnal are being made through SBC. He added that the children hymnal would be the same for all the Sümis across the state. He shared that songs have the power to drive out demons through the power of Jesus. He expressed hope that everyone would be blessed through the songs.

Niholu Aye, sponsor of the hymn book, shared about how his family decided to sponsor for the children hymn book. He thanked God and all the church leaders for their support and asserted that his family would continue trusting God even in the coming days.

Rev. Hojevi Kappo, secretary of Department of Church Music Ministry (DoCMM), acknowledged the church and all the stakeholders involved in the successful release of the children hymn book. He shared that the work started in 2016 and completed in September.

He informed that the aim of the hymn book was to let children praise God from their childhood. He updated that the hymn book has 117 songs.

During the programme, a song was performed by Nagagenous and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Rev. Pughoto Sema, executive secretary of WSBAK.
