Dimapur, March 13
One of the world’s best musicians who became the fastest man in history to travel world-wide in the shortest span of time, landed at Dimapur on March 12 to share his life testimony. On 22nd November 2010, Dr. Benny Prasad, the world’s most travelled musician reached Pakistan to break 6 world records. One among them was, travelling to 245 nations including Antarctica in 6 years 6 months and 22 days.
On arrival at Dimapur, Dr. Benny first visited Diphupar Lotha Baptist Church, where he shared a touching testimony of his life to the congregation.
According to him, at the age of 16 years, doctors had given him 6 months to live. He was born with asthma and from the age of 2-16, he was on wrong medication and as a result, 60 percent of his lungs got damaged and his immune system weakened.
At the age of 12 years, he was accidently hit by a javelin and his spinal cord was damaged. Sharing his testimony, he said, everything went wrong in his life, saying his father being an aero space scientist, the family and society expected him to be like him. He was thrown out of school in his 10th grade and was looked upon as the scum of the family.
“You are good for nothing, not worth studying. These were the words that were spoken over my life for 16 years where medically I was told that I would live for 6 months. In education as well as society and family, I was looked at as a shame and curse for the family and having no hope, no life and no talent, I contemplated to commit suicide at the age of 16”, Dr. Benny narrated.
He said, at the lowest point of his life, when he wanted to kill himself. But he heard the voice of Jesus who said, “Benny even if you are called useless by the society, I still need you. I can transform your life and make you a new person”. Thus, at the age of 16, he gave his life to the Lord and the expiry date that doctors had put on his life has already surpassed.
Dr. Benny shared with the congregation of DLBC stating Christian life as the most adventurous life. “When God can pick an ordinary person like me and create history out of my life, God wants to create history out of so many Nagas’ lives”, He challenged their lives and future into the hands of God.
During the church service, Dr. Benny Prasad enthralled the congregation with the world’s first 20-stringed Bongo Harp Guitar designed by him with which he performed at the 2004 Olympic Games at Greece. He also rendered melodious songs with a pan flute brought from Romania.
Dr. Benny Prasad who will be at Dimapur till March 17 will be visiting different Bible colleges and churches to share his testimony of hope and transformation.
He will also talk about a new project to build a new café called Chai 3:16 and is mainly centered in Bangalore to help rescue young people from committing suicide. He will be visiting a couple of states including Pune. He will then go to Hawaii and Los Angeles. His travel around the globe will culminate after which he will dedicate his time and life at Chai 3:16, nurturing and encouraging the young people to grow up with righteousness, with values and Godly principles, so that they would always stand up for the truth and that there will be no room for corruption.
