Students and teachers who took part in World Immunisation Week 2023 held at Ramzie School, Jalukie, on April 27.

DIMAPUR: Momentum Routine Immunisation Transformation and Equity (M-RITE) Project, Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN), organised World Immunisation Week 2023 on the theme 'The big catch-up' at Ramzie School, Jalukie, on April 27.

Medical Officer, CHC Jalukie, Dr. Michael Tetseo, spoke on the importance of vaccination to acquire immunisation and the need to live a healthy life.

Dr. Tetseo motivated the students to be ambassadors in creating awareness about the different activities carried out by the Medical department.

He also said the World Immunisation Week aims to highlight the collective action needed to protect people from vaccine-preventable diseases.

A speech competition on the topic ‘The role of vaccines in preventing diseases,’ was also conducted on the occasion. Keyisabeule, Nsanglungle and Peniel won the first, second and third prizes respectively. Earlier, district coordinator Ville Rhetso gave the introductory note in the programme chaired by Haipeurangbe Moses, ORW, Peren.
