Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Technologies Display and Dissemination Facility (DTDDF) of School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD) has organised a workshop on Technologies of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) on July 28 at SASRD, Nagaland University (NU).
Altogether, 64 students from final year Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme (RAWEP) participated in the workshop, a press release from SASRD informed.
Dr. NK Patra, exercising authority of DTDDF shared details of the DTDDF, SASRD which has been functioning in collaboration with BARC, Mumbai. He gave a brief introduction of BARC and their domain of works such as nuclear technology, bio-medics, agriculture, food security, environment, health, etc. he also highlighted about the available technologies with DTDDF.
Research scholars and a staff DTDDF gave demonstration on domestic water purifier, foldable solar dryer, soil organic carbon detection kit and flouride detection kit. The exercising authority also informed that interested people can contact to DTDDF office at SASRD, NU for further details of different technologies and entrepreneurship.
