- KOHIMA — A
workshop on Jaadui Pitara (Magic Box) and e-Jaadui Pitara for DIET faculty
members, government teachers, and Anganwadi workers was held at SCERT Kohima on
February 18.
- According to an update, the workshop was organised by the
North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Shillong, and coordinated
by Dr. Vareishang Tangpu, assistant professor, NERIE, NCERT, Shillong.
- The resource persons for the workshop included B Umesh Kumar
Sharma, assistant professor, NERIE, NCERT, Shillong, and Roseline Richa,
reader, SCERT Nagaland.
- In the inaugural session, SCERT Nagaland director Kevirale-ü
Kerhuo introduced Jaadui Pitara as a teaching-learning material with a variety
of resources designed to make learning a joyful and engaging experience.
- She expressed her satisfaction with Nagaland's development
of a contextualised ECCE curriculum, which has been implemented across all
government schools since 2024. The director urged teachers to develop materials
and activities creatively and with ingenuity to cater to the unique needs and
interests of the children.
